About This Blog

Snyder

I have long had an interest in learning more about my family’s history, including particularly those ancestors who served in the Civil War. Over the years, I have accumulated  a fair amount of information and  find it fascinating to learn more information about those on our family tree.

This blog is an attempt, experimental in nature, which will hopefully allow me to not only organize but share some  of the information that I have. This blog will focus on the family and ancestors  of my grandparents, Ora Otis Snyder and Marion Idella  Lucas  Snyder, their lives and times  and  the communities they lived in.

While I have learned much about our family,  I still have much to learn and am definitely  not infallible.  Therefore, I  will certainly welcome and, in fact, look forward to any contributions, corrections or comments that anyone may have.

Lastly, thanks to my daughter Bethany for setting up this blog. Given my very limited technological skills, this blog would not have been possible without her.
